Logs off instead of Shutdown

As of recently, I am taken to the 'Logon' screen when I press shutdown for some reason. This also happens for restart and all.
I installed the elementaryOS log on screen and don't know if it could  be because of that. I am away from the netbook with Crunchbang installed until later tonight so can't change it back to see if it is causing a problem but would like to know if it might have an affect.

So I tried changing the Login screen back but unfortunately it still does the same thing.
