Questions about thunar bmpanel & eee

Alright, I am a noob overcome with noobery. I have tried looking for answers, but haven't been able to find them, so I am sorry if these are issues that have already been discussed. I have three questions:

1) How would i go about setting up Thunar as my default file manager.

2) Is there any way to add an App launcher or something comparable to BMpanel

3) How can I get the FN keys and such working on an eeepc 1000 in 9.04?

Again, I am sorry if these have already been talked about, and i appreciate any help that anyone has to offer.

Re: Questions about thunar bmpanel & eee

1. Just uninstall PCManFM and install Thunar. Then edit your menu (menu.xml) and shortcuts (rc.xml) to use Thunar and not PCManFM

2. Not possible

3. You could try the array kernel:

Re: Questions about thunar bmpanel & eee

That would work perfectly smile  I really like the simplicity of bmpanel.  And I have tried replacing with the array kernel, but no dice. Oh well, I will fidget with it a bit, and I am sure I can figure something out.
