What do you think @pidsley ?

I don't know much about modern hardware. I'm confused by a couple of things though. All the reviews I can find on this netbook say it comes with a 1.6 GHz Atom and 512 M of memory. Garignol's machine seems to have 1.5 G of memory, and cpuinfo says it's a 1,6 GHz processor but inxi says it's hyperthreaded and running at 800 MHz. Does 800+800 = 1600, or is the processor able to run at 1.6 Ghz when necessary, or is it throttled somehow, or just using the ondemand governor and not working hard when Garignol ran inxi? There are a lot of comments on the web about poor cooling on this machine, and Titan asked if the machine was getting hot, and Garignol said no, so that seems to indicate it's not working very hard. Does cpufrequtuils come in #! by default? Maybe we should see the output of

cpufreq-info

I know my 2,4 GHz Celeron box has problems moving large opaque windows, so I need to use tiling WMs or WMs that can do outline window moves, but I don't know how or if that applies here.

Then bacon says 800 MHz should be fine.

And Garignol hasn't given us an update.
