Alright so im assuming I probably should update some of my drivers. (Eg. Video, wireless card, etc.) But im not 100% sure on how to do this or check which ones this has... I'm not sure how to check so yeah, can someone tell me how to check my current drivers and how to update them please?
OH and if any of you have skype to maybe make my beginning to #! a bit easier and faster to start off let me know.
EDIT: Sorry I posted this in the wrong section, can someone please move it to "Help & Support (Stable)" please.

Updating the drivers that are packaged for you? This happens automatically through new kernels, and through apt-get upgrades (sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade). So the backports release of Statler or the new Waldorf could/should also support hardware that didn't work in Statler, but it can also go in the other direction.
As for ATI and nVidia drivers, you can install the non-free/proprietary drivers through a script called smxi or sgfxi (www.smxi.org)
Everything else I wouldn't worry about.

lspcifor example will give you all your hardware components on your system. If your system is running fine do not worry just if you have problems you might need some extra stuff.
