Gimp, skype, and viewnor icons won't change

I am currently using the Clarity icon theme, and some programs icons refuse to change.
Does anyone know how to change them manually? Thanks

They have their own icons, usually found in their respective /usr/share/<app> folders. You can put your icon there with the same name, but do make sure you have a backup of the original icon
