Hi, go easy on me, a newbie with limited experience.

I have been using Linux for a while now, and I really love it. My problem is lack of knowledge under the hood, and lack of the time to  try and learn all I would love to know about it. I usually don't say much on forums, as I find some are really helpful, while others find newbies a bother because we can't get a grip on the command line, and other things that experienced folks take for granted. I usually just read other post and try to gleen what I can from them, and google all I can for the rest. I wish I had the time to invest to really learn all there is to know about Linux, but life gets in the way sometimes. I have been told so many times to just "go away", that I get discouraged and just don't ask for help. I hope I will find the things I need to know to run crunchbang here.

Good day all. smile

Re: Hi, go easy on me, a newbie with limited experience.

Hi and welcome to the forums.  There is alot of help here.  The people are great.  It is one of the best forums I have been in.

As for getting a grip on the cli I would suggest INX linux.  It a livecd, it runs only from the command line, and is a great tool for learning the command line.  It has short tutorials on many different levels.  It starts with the basics and builds from there.  Here is a link, check it out.

I hope it helps and dont worry about questions.   We were all newbies at one time.

Kelean.
