I have just migrated over from LMDE and so far no disappointments. They both run on Debian binaries so not much different except eye candy for now. Openbox is a refreshing change from GDM.
Puppy linux was my 1st love after wiping the factory installed Xandros OS completely from my netbook a few years ago. Still run Puppy regularly but with Waldorf in the shelves I wanted to see what differences it had over LMDE on my old T40. Just taking it slow, reading the forums and enjoyng this new distro. Will do my duty and report any issues that crop up.
Cheers #!ers.

Thx #!ers. I am really enjoying the camaraderie from this forum which is quite unlike other forums I have seen. This distro truly has the potential to become my main OS from now on. I am still considering whether to stay with Waldorf after it goes stable or continue to point my sources to testing. Any advice, opinions or suggestions are appreciated.
A big fat cheers to the #! community on a great new distro.

^ If you want stability, stay on Wallie, if you want Testing, it will first get freezed anyway soon. How about Sid?

@ vastone & ivanovnegro, well sid it is then. I do not have the sid repos on hand so when I track down the appropriate repos for sid I will add to my sources.list and give it a spin in a few days. I will report any issues I come across of course.

1. Replace any instance of wheezy in /etc/apt/sources.list with sid.
2. `sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade`
3. Sid.
4. ???
5. Profit!

2. Adjust /etc/apt/preferences to make Sid the top package location preference
2.5 Adjust /etc/apt/apt.conf to read
APT::Default-Release "sid";5.5 More Profit!

welcome to the forum. basically we all use #! because we are too lazy to configure debian and rather spend our time hanging out here.

okay. so i am now officially running sid and nothing borked so far.
took about an hour to complete the sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade but all went smoothly and i will now begin the fun task of poking around the forums and sniff out any issues on my old trusty T40.
a big crunchy cheers to the #! community.
