I'm on it!
Hey guys, I just got Crunchbang installed on an SSD in my desktop, and it's turned my 3ghz Core2Duo into a new computer! 
I'll probably be around the forums a bit while I get into the swing of things, but it's nice to have moved on from Ubuntu and Mint!

Hey welcome. I'm in a similar boat-running crunch on an amd dual core 3ghz. It's much faster than Ubuntu or Mint for me, they were just too bloated for my liking. I did like Mint over ubuntu, but I didn't like not being able to get a 64 bit version of XFCE/LXDE. I suppose I could have just installed openbox on ubuntu/mint, but I'm very happy with crunch.
