defaults in icedove

HI, I made a comment at the end of this post http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/post/212016/#p212016 which should be considered as a bug perhaps?

Re: defaults in icedove

If you want to make serious bug reports, you have to report them directly to the Debian BTS: http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting.

Re: defaults in icedove

This is not exactly a bug, but a problem with the standard mime-helpers. Most systems use xdg-open and, after installing something like thunar, exo-open (the xfce alternative to xdg), which sometimes falls back to xdg, depending on the configuration. Mozilla has been a known offender in multiple cases of violations of desktop handling for ages and the mess we call mine-helpers in Linux doesn't help.

I'm so meta, even this acronym

Re: defaults in icedove

Not sure I understand this, sounds all a bit techy for me - but thanks for the info about how to report bugs, and the status of this problem : ) I am going to try and make a non-tech's setup guide today - should be fun!
