All the way with #!

Had to tell someone, but only people of the same cloth who would appreciate the news. This weekend I installed #! on my main laptop, a Dell Inspiron M5030, having dabbled with it for a couple of weeks on a netbook. I was even moved to donate money, which indicates how pleased I am with the results. It's a pity that we don't use CRTs any longer because the dark theme would save a lot of electrons. I really appreciate corenomial's work combining Openbox and Debian. I find the Debian foundation with its extensive software repository reassuring, the Openbox implementation excellent, and the aesthetics of GUI way-cool as dude-speakers are wont to exclaim.

Great to hear awds...  If you copy and paste the same message in the Introductions thread, you would receive an incredible welcome and a feast to go along with it... and a few pints of beer and coffee too...

Cheers... and Welcome to CrunchBang

Re: All the way with #!

@damo: Regarding wifi. Debian seems to install the Broadcom drivers automatically; at least, something got installed that worked. I went through the usual exercise of deleting ~/.gnome2/keyrings then logging out and in then setting up the wifi for my DSL box, in which the DNS portion of the DHCP functionality has died necessitating manually entering the DNS IP addresses of my ISP. Other than this minor keyboard prestidigitation, the installation was a breeze.

@VastOne: Thanks for the offer, but I've been here already and wouldn't want to wear out my welcome getting rat-arsed again on the free beer. I'm still a big hungover from the last time.
