Getting XFCE4 Power Manager to read the correct battery specs.

I've just installed a big fat battery on my Asus Eeepc 8G; it has a capacity of 10,400mAh. XFCE4 Power Manager Information reports that the battery capacity is 5,200mAh.

I tried looking at the preferences and the BIOS settings, yet I can't find out how to get Power Manager to recognize the larger battery. Presumably it needs to know in order to make the correct estimate of remaining power. On Looking through the /etc directory I didn't see an obvious configuration file.

What's the keyboard mudrā and incantation needed to inform Power Manager of the increased battery capacity? Thanks.
