Hey #! crowd!
After dabbling between (x)ubuntu, fluxbox and whatnot for quite a while, I think I'm finally settling with #! lite. I am absolutely loving it
I've been lurking in the forums for a bit and since the atmosphere is so friendly I figured I should register and say hi (before I pester everybody with questions
).
So.. Hi

Hi Mr. Miyagi and welcome to #! forums. Feel free to pester away with your questions - there's usually someone on here with the knowledge to help you, and I hear that corenominal knows a thing or two about #!

Hello Mr. Miyagi, welcome to the forums!
P.S. FYI, Trouble'n'strife had no choice, I needed her system for testing.

Hi Mr. Miyagi
Welcome to #! & the forums.
My wife is starting to budge. After trawling through a number of distros she plumped for WattOS (openbox & a bit of lxde) (not a bad distro, actually) - after drooling over OzOS. After putting up a wallpaper of the new film "Twilight" (she's seen the film dozens of times, read the 1st book twice, then the second and is on the third now!). Removed desktop icons, using their duplicates in the panel below. Changing the theme to match the black & white wallpaper.
I then told her it looks almost like #! after all!!!
Women, eh? No offence Trouble'n'Strife
Hail #!

Thank you:) Hihi, that is just too funny. But she ended up with a fine distro anyway, so that's a win-win situation:P

Well, she says they're excellent! The film. I think, was ok... It's a love story... girls seem to like them more than guys...
Hail #!

They're badly written.
Edward has no personality, and Bella doesn't have personality either.
My sort-of-other-half (complicated) may make me watch the movie, but I'm avoiding it till then

Hehe, I chuckled reading your pre-edited reply
So, no consensus on #! regarding Twilight. I guess I've got to take a peak for myself then. I'm sure the misses has it lying around.

I liked it too, as did the Mod who edited it, but it was seen as possibly questionable D: SO no worries.
And tell me how it ends up. As I said, the book is quite badly written, imo.

Oh well, I guess that's understandable, this being a public forum.
I'll let you know when I get around reading it.
