it is very difficult for me to describe how much i dig this distro without resorting to expletives, but please let your imagination run wild (think the big lebowski). in the 10 months that i.ve been using linux (via debian squeeze) i have been through the wringer with wifi problems, sound problems and the usual assortment of learning curve madness.
crunchbang was ..., well, it was kind of sickening how easy it was. how wifi just worked. how sound was no problem (after turning up the volume levels--via bash! cool!) how i didn.t feel the need to rework the desktop environment. and i LOVE the 20 pixels of desktop management sitting innocuously atop the screen. genius! super key shortcuts--thanks for not calling them windows key shortcuts.
after about 30 minutes perusing my shiny new distro, i thought to myself, 'wow, this is exactly how i would design my own linux distro if i were clever enough to do so.'
thanks again.

I hope you enjoy being a #! fan as much as I do, and I'm sure you will! It's the perfect thing really, simplicity without compromising use-ablity. Any day now I expect to see a post about you compiling your first kernel with no trouble at all.
Forums are boring, drinking is awesome.
