lid close and open behaviour

Hello everybody, this is my first post here.
I installed #! on an asus eee 701,  that was the first netbook available commercially. I had it at home doing nothing, and #! gave it new life. Very fast boot, fast responses, and the ability to watch videos on youtube without problems (just to say it's lightweight) highlight how efficent this distribution is.  Now I use my eee like a home server with dynamic dns and ssh daemon. Yesterday I also installed xbmc, compiling it from source, because the version in debian-multimedia freezed on exit (thanks monkeyx for the suggestion: http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic … nchbang/). Not without surprise I found that my old netbook is able to support fullHD resolution 1920x1080 (It wasn't able with an old ubunu version I installed before !#), son now I'm gonna use it as a media center too.
I made a little script that sets the output to the VGA1 with xandr and then starts xbmc, but then, whene I close the netbook lid, the screen goes off. So, how do I change and customize the behavior of closing and opening the lid?
Thanks

First of all, welcome to CrunchBang!  There's coffee and donuts on the table in the main conference room.

I''m not absolutely positive, but you may need to find a way to disable the netbook lid switch; not sure if there's a way to tell the kernel to simply ignore it, or if minor surgery is indicated. yikes

Thank you, for the suggestion. Since I would like to put it in a script, I hope to find something not gui related!

I only did a quick Google & skim, but it looks like this might help you in your quest.
