wired connection working fine on lite CD, not showing in standard??!

First off, i have to say this distro looks n feels great... however, after having tried out hardwarecompatibility and getting familiar with openbox (and being euphoric about both!) I do not dare to install the standard version.
When booting from LITE cd networking works great, my eth0-connection as well as wireless is working and everything looks good, even my onboard webcam is registered.... but I cannot get a connection to my ethernet when trying out the standard CD!!! This seems strange and I most certainly do not dare install it yet (and would love to not have to install lite and fill it with basically every program available in standard, as I have uses for 90% of them)).

Both CDs turn out fine when running check during boot so.... what the hell guys?! tongue

It would probably be safe to install the Lite version is it showed up in that. Even if it doesn't work at first wired network issues are pretty easy to figure out and fix usually.

Yeah well, I really don´t want to boot in and out of windows in order to look up solutions on the net, write them down (don´t have a printer), and try them out in cruncbang... And having to install all apps from scratch sucks.. guess I´ll have to live with the ubuntu-bloat and go back to xubuntu.

Thanks for the quick reply, and good luck with this (very cool) project! big_smile
