Backspace sound

So the last few days I have been annoying the piss out of my girlfriend with the "farting sound" that #! makes when I backspace where there is no text left to remove.

And I quite enjoy annoying her with it, i always using it to "drum" to whatever music she is listing to tongue

So, my question is, how can I go about changing this sound?

EDIT:
Yes I can be immature tongue

Re: Backspace sound

lol

You probably mean the farting sound in Terminator?

Right-click in Terminator, choose Preferences. Go to "Profiles" tab, and untick the audible beep.

Now the fun has gone.

Re: Backspace sound

Well sadly it does not even do it in  Terminator. It does it for me at the login screen(s) and in the URL bar in terminator.

And also I would like to change the sound, not just remove it tongue

Thanks!

Re: Backspace sound

For GDM: in Openbox menu -> System -> GDM Login-Setup. Go to Tab: Accessibility. There you can pick the sound. And you can check the location of the default sound (I don't have this enabled).

Re: Backspace sound

That sound is actually really annoying. Its really loud compared to the volume of media i watch/listen to.
Could somebody please tell me how to disable it?

Re: Backspace sound

This was solved recently in another thread.  Add

xset b off &

to your autostart & all will be quiet and peaceful.

Re: Backspace sound

Lmao ... thanks for the laugh, needed that. big_smile

I don't know how to do what you're asking about. Know the "fart" sound of which you speak though. Hmmm ... however on the positive side of things, this could give me new ammo to annoy my gf with too. That drumming along with the song she's listening to is friggin classic.

Ahhhh I better not. I'm already annoying enough ... tyvm.  lol

Some common cbiz abbreviations. This will save me time and yet @ same time tell folks what the babble is supposed to mean.
