Hi I'm gef (damaru)

I've been on puredyne os for the last few years, but due to some stall in the update (they still on 9.4) I had to consider another os. But more important than the OS is the community around it. I've been hangning out on the chat - and that was great - I had help to install #! on my netbook (eeepc 701) and it works like a charm, need to install licorix on it now to see if it would even boost the performance a tad more. I even added the wheezy repo which seems to work great for what I need (mostly mixxx on that netbook!)

I haven't change my main computer nor my media center yet - but it's coming up. My media center didn't like #! yet - it's a miniintel board with integrated cpu and graphic chip - which may be the problem. I'll have to try a bit more on that one.

I was wondering if anyone were able to dual boot mac and #!, I have been running Mac as a virtual machine in virtual box that works ok but still a little lag ( I have a quad core 2.8 ghz with 8gb or ram) and would love to be able to dual boot.

Anyhow thank you for this system, I really like it so far and quite enjoy the community already - I hope this project will continue for some time and will provide with some donation as soon as I am done installing it on my 4 computers!

hum - interesting - I use damaru as my dj name - but like small town resident dj - nothing to pro about it but... I'll be djing on #! on the next gig on wednesday !! yaya #! + Mixxx
