New Linux user, Love #! but could use some help

hi, I've recently switched from windows XP to Linux. I've tried just about every distro out there but nothing has felt quite as nice as CrunchBang. so i'm running the lastest version of Slater and i'm having a hard time setting up my Nvidia drivers (GeForce 7600GS) and I'm having a difficult time getting my favorite game Warsow 0.62 to work. also, i've got to say thank you for such a beautiful distro.

Welcome to the forums!

Please confer to Quick reference guide to see if there is a tutorial in getting your nvidia drivers installed.  If warsow is a windows game, I recommend installing Wine.  One of they guys here offered an updated version of wine in this thread

Otherwise, I'd recommend making a thread in the help (stable) section if you continue to have problems.

yeah the tutorials that i saw didn't work, also Warsow is linux native game but they're no easy way to install an updated version... been trying to do it from a source file .zip
