New face same story. Started out a Ubuntu user then switched to Mint for about a year and half. I enjoyed my time and the knowledge that I gained through those distros, but the time had come for a change. Felt like I was looking for a new house. Shopped around a lot and found a few things that i could make work if I had to, but just like buying a home when you find the right one you just know. The distribution is great! The community here seems great! Lots of big brains around these parts so I don't know how much help I can be but I will contribute when I can, and look forward to hacking and learning a lot. So hello everyone.
