Re: November 2011 screenshot thread

So I have heard and read machinebacon..  Seems to be the preferred path to Gnome 3 which is interesting since Fedora has been stable with it for a couple of cycles now..

I'm looking forward to testing it

You have some great KDE screens as always. Always remember yours from UF. You really should do a KDE blog.

@replicant: Thank you for your kind words, but I'm a humbly new kde user, been using it full time for the past month only. My experience hardly qualifies for a blog. I can use the deviantart journal if I want to post anything though so I might just do that.

Reading your DA comment - do the minimal install. You'll get a cleaner and more cohesive system than with removing stuff from the classic Gnome session.

I simply dislke "orange" as a wallpaper.   I think that is why I enjoy LinuxMint and Shiki-Wise.

The laptop is a clean install and I am headed for 3 hours OUT of the house tonight and will install this.

Re: November 2011 screenshot thread

@vast1, @aaro, @psyco, @titanmech

Thx for the comps.  It's been getting fairly good favoritism on deviantart as well.  It's basically my previous setup with a different wall and bg color, but is a bit differen in its grounding/blue.  It' way better for me  with the blue hues.  Something cool about it as well is how it uses the statler icons seemlessly.  These seem to pop as well if not better than the anycoloryoulike ones on this blue BG and are friggin' sweet. I like to use these statler defaults as much as possible.  The WM is FVWM of couse tongue

And evening and everytime...

Best frozen treat: Nutella gelato.

At least in the Americas Nutella is made in New Jersey! And yet only the Latin American immigrants and residually Italian know about it. Very curious really.

On-topic: just a big wall of Gohufont (plus 2 lines of Ubuntu) text:

tYmVsNg

doomicide nice sig. While I have you here, is that still that hard pronounce WM? I just learned it's in the Debian Testing repo's.

Yes, still herbstluftwm, but you can say hlwm, that's propably easier to pronounce wink. Also Bakunin is awesome (imo).

@machinebacon: Thanks smile
