Hi all!
I am an intermediate linux user (just know i used slackware for 2 years and compiled a personalized monolithic kernel and edited the rc scripts to make my laptop boot in 15 seconds) but after switching to #! i have an issue about gaming lag. I am using the same connection and the same video driver as slackware, but the problem appeared just in #! ,
Fortunately in Urban Terror there is a lag meter so i have some clues about the origin of the lag.

As you can see in the screenshot there are red bars in the lagmeter, meaning the download capacity of the client is congested. Also the bars are all equal and repeated, which makes me think it's some sort of network check, update or something like that!
Some other program is hammering my network, but i don't know which one it is!
I have a clean installation, just added java and some more, nothing exotic!
Is there any network monitor i can use or do you have any clue about which this program could be?
Thanks for your help!
EDIT: SOLUTION!
I found out that killing the NetworkManager process solves the problem. I don't know why this happens but i am glad this solved the problem once and for all!
Also by killing the process you don't get disconnected, hell yeah!!
