Re: [SOLVED] Flash fullscreen crash

Does the problem happen with other browsers (like Iceweasel)?

Re: [SOLVED] Flash fullscreen crash

Just tried Iceweasel and everything runs smoother with no problems, why?

Re: [SOLVED] Flash fullscreen crash

Try to get the newest version of chrome. Chromium in the stable debian repos is OLD.

Re: [SOLVED] Flash fullscreen crash

I have added theese lines to sources.list:

# Chromium (usually newer version than in the official repos)
# # towo's repository for aptosid
 # # secure APT - apt-get install frickelplatz-archive-keyring frickelplatz-keyring frickelplatz-keyrings
deb http://frickelplatz.de/debian/ sid main contrib non-free

When i do a dist-upgrade i get this message:

hein@pc-hein:~$ sudo aptitude dist-upgrade

      Remove the following packages:

2) gimp-gmic
3) gimp-plugin-registry
4) libgegl-0.0-0
5) libgimp2.0

      Leave the following dependencies unresolved:
6) crunchbang-openbox-packages recommends gimp
7) crunchbang-openbox-packages recommends gimp-plugin-registry
8) crunchbang-xfce-packages recommends gimp
9) crunchbang-xfce-packages recommends gimp-plugin-registry
10) libgimp2.0 recommends gimp
11) gimp-data recommends gimp

Accept this solution? [Y/n/q/?]

I didn't accept anything couse i want my #! to be rock solid, i was a bit sceptic: why has gimp to be modified? I want to update only chromium, nothing else.

Thanks again for your help

Re: [SOLVED] Flash fullscreen crash

I would use the Debian repos (unstable) to get a newer version of Chromium:

Re: [SOLVED] Flash fullscreen crash

Hm, IIRC the Frickelplatz repo pulls Chromium from Unstable already. Seems not to be a good idea to pull it from Unstable as the OP has dependency issues.

Also the Flash version of the OP is quite old, install Flash from non-free, either flashplugin-nonfree or flashplayer-mozilla from Debian Multimedia.

The last resort could be to install Chrome, should be easier on Debian Stable.

Re: [SOLVED] Flash fullscreen crash
