VLC not using Grpahics Card.

I have an NVIDIA 9800GT card. I'm getting extremely high CPU usage when playing 1080p vids. CPU is Q6600 running at stock. I have the drivers as well as vdpau installed. Followed this guide to get the drivers installed. 

Also the "Use GPU acceleration" option is greyed out"

EDIT: CPU Usage is around 22%, though the temperature of the graphics card doesn't go up.(nvidia-settings)

maybe u just should to try mplayer with vdpau?
