Dell 2007FBP display is shifted

Hey guys, just started out with crunch bang and I'm really enjoying it so far.

The only problem i have experienced after about 3 hours of tinkering around is my display

I am using a Dell 2007fbp ultrasharp display, and my screen output is either shifted slightly to the right, or all of my display isn't being shown. When I printscreen, I see more of the conky on the right than I am able to see on my screen..

So basically, a bit of my right side is cut off on my display.

How can I fix this without losing resolution?

Thanks a bunch for any help

edit: my display setting in grandr is at 1600x1200 60.0hz which is the standard for the display, yet it doesn't seem to be displaying my whole screen.

I assume you've already tried letting the monitor align itself?  It helps to give the desktop a bright background.

Maybe the gfx card? Which model do you use, and which drivers?

also I now know it's not the screen. I am now trying an HP w2007 and the problem remains the same.

Re: Dell 2007FBP display is shifted

Solved: The problem seemed to lie in crunchbangs autoconfig of the monitor itself. Graphics drivers weren't the problem.

If anyone has this monitor and experiences the same problem, it can be fixed by manually changing the screens settings via the buttons on the front of the screen to get to the display menu.

Display settings--pixel clock set to 0 aligned the display perfectly.

Peace

This tells me the problem *is* at the screen - those buttons control nothing in the computer.  But, so long as it's solved...
