Do you mean the link to the Obmenu GUI editor? If that's all you're trying to get rid of then you can just uninstall it. If you mean that the items from your Openbox menu are showing in your XFCE menu then I don't know how to help, that would be a very weird thing to be happening.

It shows the obmenu items and I dont want them to be seen at all. I dont feel like messing with xorg on openbox to fix DPI.

I'm just trying to clarify, you mean that the items that show up in your openbox menu are also showing up in your xfce menu? Like shortcuts to xorg configuration files? Correct?

What do you mean by "menu shortcuts"? Could you post a screenshot?
Anyways to hide items from the Xfce menu, you can edit the .desktop files in /usr/share/applications so they have this line in them:

This is what I mean. Like Qt config and what not is what I want out of the menu http://imgur.com/a62xY

Just follow the steps in my last post to hide menu items you don't want to see.

simpledesign: Hope that helped. For future reference the following terminology might be good to know:
"menu items": are the different links and shortcuts that appear in a menu.
"obmenu": is the name of a specific program for editing the openbox menu.
"openbox menu": is the menu provided by the openbox window manager when you right click the desktop in openbox.
I think we were initially confused because you said "obmenu items" which mixed a few of those things into one. I hope that wasn't too frustrating. Terminology is an asshole sometimes.
Thanks for your question
