I've got statler running my girlfriend's old dell and it works perfectly, but we can't unlock the screen once it locks? I googled for a default crunchbang password and it seems there isn't one, but the screensaver requires one?
I would install it, but her hard drive is dead...

Hi jeward, "live" should work as the password. I don't *think* it's supposed to be doing that, which flavor of statler is the live cd (openbox or xfce)?

It's openbox. I'll try that password if it locks the screen again. Thanks!

I can confirm that the live session password is "live".

Hello i dig out this old subject
I just burned the last iso of statler
and when i booted on it, selected the live session i am blocked with the login page asking for username and password...
Is it normal? Can i identify mysefl with user : live, pass : live?

Whenever I got the login screen, I just pressed <enter> at the username prompt and it just bypassed the login entirely.

first thing i do in a live session, as soon as it starts i sudo passwd crunchbang (or whatever the user is) so i set up my own password since most distros have different passwords
