Hi,
just installed #! with OpenBox and after installing Open office 3 (oo3) i opened a .doc document.
I switched the keyboard layout to MK (Macedonian) and started typing. but there is a huge delay while writhing the characters and it gets worse when I pres BackSpace. After 20-30 seconds, oo3 freezes and I have to kill it.
any help please

Maybe you should reinstall it or just reboot your computer?
Or try an older version to see if that helps.
Or try K-office, I think it looks cool

It might help to know where you installed OO.o from (.deb file? Debian repo?), what kind of PC you're running it on...
By the way, welcome to the CrunchBang forums!

Sorry for the bad info and thanks for the welcome.
I have a lenovi ideapad u330, a pretty solid for office work. I installed OO.o from the window menu (Office -> Open Office) so it's kinda weird.
tnx

Tried reinstalling with packages from OOo website, didn't work. Also, I've found out that this happens everytime that i use OOo, no matter what language I use for writing

Some simple steps make OpenOffice snappier:
http://www.zolved.com/synapse/view_cont … _in_Ubuntu
It is written for Ubuntu, but it is for OpenOffice in every distribution.
My experience: OpenOffice starts in 4 seconds now (before the change: 10 seconds). But working in OpenOffice should be faster, too.

Thanks, that solved the problem.
