photo's

i downloaded some photos from my camera and put them in a folder - they are saved as .jpg
I tried to upload them to photobucket and find folder empty...
so then i try to attach one to a email and get error  this photo does not exist..
Any ideas?

what happens if you cd into the dir with the photos and type ls -a?

Got a similar problem when I tried to send an attachment via email, it would upload the photo, the photo is there but I got that same sneaking suspicion as what fhsm just said, perhaps it a file permissions problem. tongue in which case what do we do!?! set it as goup read write? I feel a little clueless what with being new to *nix roll

I would do this:

sudo chown -R user:user /path/to/folder

Just replace "user" with your user account name.

Before doing anything, would be great to know what happens when you enter the above command, here I put it again, do this inside the folder you think the photos are.
