Sound problems M audio delta 2496

Help
I Cant get sound from my sound card.  I have un-muted the mixer and installed Alsatools to no avail. How do I configure for this soundcard?  I am a  relative linux newby and have tried a number of distros.  I have had it working on a couple of other distros (dynbolic I think was one).
Advice would be appreciated.

Re: Sound problems M audio delta 2496

I have the same audiocard and had the same kind of problems, although I'm using Ubuntu and not Crunchbang. Got it working after fiddling enough with the settings.

In Alsa mixer I have on ADC and ADC 1 (DAC and DAC 1 might also work) AND left channel of Multi 8 and right channel of Multi 9. In the settings: H/W (both) -> Digital Mixer. Multi track internal clock (also default): 44100.

This was probably not very helpful...

Good luck!
