[solution] IPMI View on Statler

Hi,

It took me a few days to pinpoint this, so hopefully this post will help someone avoid that ordeal. In order to get IPMI View working, you need to edit /etc/sysctl.d/bindv6only.conf and change the value of net.ipv6.bindv6only to "0":
After that:

# invoke-rc.d procps restart

This is documented as a Debian bug affecting Java networking here http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=560056

Re: [solution] IPMI View on Statler

Thanks for the tip.

I cannot seem to start this, without it complaining about the JRE.  Any tips?
