hi y'all , i was wondering if maybe somebody could help me out . i've recently moved to new zealand and i'd like to unlock my at&t branded samsung phone so i can use it with carriers here . does anybody know if there are any free and opensource programs that could generate the 8 digit code to unlock my phone from based on its imei number?

so i've been doing some serious google research on the subject and have concluded that this whole line of inquiry is dodgy as (read: sketchy) if anyone is an amatuer cryptologist maybe you might know but otherwise this topic isn't worth the bother

I know in the UK there are loads of small shops and market stalls where they offer the unlock service for a small fee - they know a lot of the codes
