January was another great month for desktop screenshots. As we continue to grow our members are experimenting with different distros, window managers and desktop environments. I'm looking forward to seeing the results of those experiments this month
Thank you also to everyone for sticking to the thumbnail images in this thread. Please continue to use thumbnails linking to the larger image to help those of us with slow connections. An example of the code needed is below. Most image hosting sites will automatically generate this for you as well.

Enjoy

@kookaburra - Whats ams thats, a grandpas guitars?
Just kidding, I love a good acoustic box. Only criticism I'd have - if you took the photo - is to go with more light/longer exposure and a tighter lens aperture for a deeper field of focus.

Here is my desktop for February. It is not too different from my effort last month. I kind of like these Hubble images, I find them calming, yet inspiring.

Good grief, I've gone all colourful!
That's quite a pleasant looking setup.

i would like to have a replica of that....
Sure.
OBT is a slightly modified Dyne and icons are Black-Gnome, both easily found at sites like gnome-look or box-look.

Screenshot is going to come, just have to edit my conkyrc back to what it was and an editted tint2rc is also coming up
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQL4V1DoDFc here a vid about #! booting in 13 seconds
Only downside is that the wireless regularly just fails and have to reboot.. but it's not big of a problem because it boots so fast
Edit: screenshots!

@Andreas, could you share your tint2rc? That's a great idea with the invisible text on the non-focused applications...it'd be really great with the tooltip on svn!
Punch all your friends.
