[solved]my wireless stopped working

So this morning i booted my laptop and the wireless didn't connect.  I clicked on the network applet, but it doesnt show any wireless networks to connect to.  When i right click on the applet the "enable wireless" option is grayed out, ie cannot be selected.  Last night when i turned off my comp everything was working fine.  now not so much.

ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

turned out my wireless card turned itself off somehow.  So it works now
