So I used Ubuntu for a while and I really liked it but I had this problem. Since I was dual booting, every time I came across something that seemed like it took an effort to learn, I'd just boot back into XP and do it there. It's a lot easier to do things you already know how to do than to figure out new things.
Crunchbang has finally convinced me to dive in instead of paddling around in the shallow end. This morning I formatted my Windows partition and now Crunchbang is the only OS on my computer. If I may be permitted to mix my metaphors I feel like I just took the training wheels off. (Why isn't there an "abject terror" emoticon?)
