Hi I am an old school linux user but a new school crunchbang user. I've used all the main distros over the past 10 yrs or more. I always preferred slackware, gentoo, debian, and arch. I started using Ubuntu because of all the computer customers that requested I install it on their computers. So I knew I needed to be current with it. Well Ubuntu is nice and all, but it is bloated terribly. I was looking for a 'new' lightweight distro the other day and came across crunchbang. I saw that it comes pre-installed and pre-configured with my favorite desktop (openbox). So I downloaded it and installed it and have fallen in love with it. Now all five computers at my house use it, and the 4 computers at my small business are about to change over to it. Me and my employees can stay current with ubuntu and not have to deal with all the bloat. Granted there are a few programs I have to install after a #! install but it is much less than the amount of programs I have to get rid of after a fresh Ubuntu install. Anyway, thanks for the great distro and if there is anything I can do to help out with the development please let me know.
