help with wine.

I installed wine but it didnt really do anything.  I tried to run a windows app with it and nothing happend.  No screen loaded or anything. I want to be able to watch dish anywhere and all I found online is I have to install wine and use firefox to do so.  If anyone knows how I can do this that would be great.

Re: help with wine.

If you run wine-cfg, do you get an ugly dialog box?  I'll assume that you do, and that you're running an amd64 install.  In Debian Wheezy, wine is not available for amd64; you need to enable multiarch support and install the i386 wine packages.  Most of the info you need should be in that dialog; if not, this thread should help.
