Zero volume issue

I am running Crunchbang Waldorf on my Asus EEE PC model 701. It runs great. But I have a little issue that happens at seemingly random (but very infrequent) times. The audio volume will sometimes just go to zero, and I get no sound when trying to play music files or videos. I open the volume control, and the control indicates it is set to a high volume level, just where I had left it, but there is no sound. I move the volume control up or down just a little to change the volume ever so slightly, and the sound comes back on at the proper level. It does this very rarely, and I know how to fix it when it happens, but it doesn't seem right that it should happen at all. Anyone else see this problem? Anyone have a fix?

Re: Zero volume issue

Are you using Alsa or PulseAudio?

Sorry about that. I accidentally posted my password in IRC and I had the same password set here so they changed my signature.

Re: Zero volume issue

I am using PulseAudio, which is the default when installed on this computer. PulseAudio also works great with my audio recording software.
