Hello
Okay, so I would like to make a request for help to anyone capable of providing a download mirror for the latest CrunchBang release. For anyone who is not aware, I provide the main download location, the download server is provided by Dreamhost and my account has an unlimited bandwidth allowance; however, the server will quickly get bogged down once the release notes have been published, even more so if/when external sites such as DistroWatch advertise the new release. Also, I know I said my Dreamhost account has unlimited bandwidth, but I really do not want to abuse/degrade the service for other users on the same shared server. Basically, I would really appreciate any help!
Anyhow, if you feel this is something you can help out with, you can find the latest CrunchBang images below:

Please post below with the address of your mirror and I will update the download page on the wiki. Thank you!
P.S. Did I mention CrunchBang 9.04.01 is available now?
Release notes, blog posts etc to follow shortly.

Will do later today or tomarrow. But note that i use a free host so my bandwith isnt unlimited but it should at least help ease the load

I don't have sufficient bandwidth to mirror but I'd be happy to serve as a bittorrent seed...

bittorrent is an extremely good idea. I assume most people know how to use it, and it relieves pretty much all the server load.

Torrents would be good. Dreamhost operates a no torrent policy (at least it did the last time I checked) so this is something I would again need help with. Nik_Doof was kind enough to set-up the torrents last time around, but I have not been in contact with him for a while. I will look into sorting something out.

I can't really help in providing another mirror, but I think torrents are a fantastic idea and I'd be more than happy to seed for a while.

I was going to suggest torrents. I will quite happily seed when someone posts the torrents.
Also, I don't mind creating / hosting torrents either - using an open tracker... but whilst I know how to use and create torrents, I imagine there's someone that could do a better job than me. I'd hate to be criticized for 'doing it wrong' when I know no other way.

I wonder what would happen if 'someone' dropped the ISO into his or her dropbox public folder...

We need to try something, crunchbang.net is giving 503s and I just borked my Crunchbang install trying to upgrade it. Back to Mint for now...

If you have any of the ISOs, just create a torrent file for each ISO using any torrent client, and upload to piratebay or any torrent tracker.
Then try to get it seeded by a couple of people as soon as possible. I can't help right now (at work), but if I can get my hands on the ISOs
a little later I can fix torrents and also seed for a couple of days.

Also seeding now, seems to work fine.
The md5sum for the ISO currently being distributed via the torrent is verified against the download page, perhaps we can get the torrent link listed on there to help ease the load on the http servers?

Trying to get the iso now -- I don't have unlimited bandwith, but should be enough to help ride the wave. I'll post the links asap.
