Linksys wireless card and MAC addresss filtering

Hi all

Quite interested to learn Linux tried installing multiple Linux distros such as Ubuntu and elementary (based on Ubuntu) but they don't seem to connect to wireless using my desktops linksys wireless n card. Tried linux mint arch and manjaro Why does no Linux distribution on the planet cope with MAC address filtering and or my desktop wireless card properly what can I do this is so annoying reinstalling distribution after distribution to see if I can get wireless networking with MAC address filtering enabled?

Just he turned off the filtering for MAC address and wireless works fine but I need it on for my family and we're I live. I find it hard to believe my wireless card in my desktop doesn't work with MAC address filtering enabled.

Any help much appreciated! Thanks josh!

I have an AR5416 wireless network adaptor from atheros communications  AR5008 802.11(a)bgn (rev 01)
