long story short

i had a zx spectrum +2, an amiga 500 (best 2 machines i ever owned, hands down), a windows pc pentium 3 and then a macbook pro.

ms windows gave me a head-ache (still does at work) so i got a mac. how should i describe the mac? os x (software) is good, mac (hardware) is not that great, apple (company) sucks big time. my 7 yeard old macbook pro is currently working with only 1 fan, apple considers it vintage so they say they don't have the part. not only this, i had to pay for this information and they still put a dent on the bottom case, after examining it and sending it back. anyway, i could send it for repair in the uk, on a non-official mac parts shop or even continue using it on 1 fan until it melts but you know what? i don't want to. time to move on to the final setup: a linux pc. but not just any linux. i wanna #!

first step, i'll be looking for a laptop so, i'll post in this thread. you are awesome, thanks for having me.

neutral sensei, i think i'm ready.
