firstly, I am SO sorry if this is the wrong subforum. Not sure where to post because this doesn't have anything to do with bugs or errors...sorry
Anyway, I'm wondering if it's possible to use the openbox/#! pipe menus atop KDE
KDE/Openbox session doesn't work, because it only replaces the windows decoration...what I want is to have the #! menu for right-clicking. Is this even possible or is it a foolish dream to want it all? /drama xD
Search engines lead to no answers...but it'd be cool to have the flexibility and speed of openbox with the integration and features of KDE ^_^
of course, if I had to choose between the two...well, there's a reason I have an account in the #! forums and not the KDE forums

First, your post probably is more appropriate for the Off Topic/General Chat forum.
Second, it must be possible to run Openbox in KDE based on this old thread in the Arch Linux forums:

Hi, sorry for posting in the wrong place.
I wasn't very clear, but I already did what was in those links. The result was as expected--the windows decorations went to Openbox. However, what I -really- want is the Openbox pipe menus in KDE when I right-click. Or any way to create a shortcut to open the Openbox menu.
As it is, the right-click action is controlled by KDE. I'm wondering if there's a way to get it to follow Openbox

Sorry, I don't use KDE, so I can't help you further at this point. I apologize for misunderstanding what your issue is. I thought you wanted to know if Openbox was even doable under KDE.

Might want to check here and if you don't find anything, post your question to the Linux - Help! forum.

@rayyu, it might be easier to give up on the right-click and just launch the openbox root-menu from the keyboard. Do the openbox keyboard shortcuts in ~/,config/openbox/rc.xml work under KDE? Can you launch the menu from Win+Space? If so, you can edit rc.xml to bind the menu to the "Menu" key, for example...
John Please help us keep your forums manageable.
