Up and Running

I just installed #! on my netbook, so far, so good. I had been using Xubuntu for the last year and a half, which was fine, until Amazon Instant Video mysteriously stopped working. Upgrading to 11.10 didn't fix it, so I decided to try out crunchbang's livecd; surprisingly, *everything* worked, wireless, flash, webcam, special laptop keys. It also feels a bit zippier.

I'll probably switch over my desktop next.

Keep up the great work!

Re: Up and Running

Welcome to #! smile

I have a netbook, a 32-bit laptop, and a 64-bit laptop, all running Crunchbang. None of them is "slow" but the 64-bit Toshiba rips through jobs like video conversion using Handbrake!

Re: Up and Running

Welcome to the club!  I found the OS to be the fastest of all that I tried, save niche installs like puppy.
