Asus eee 1005HA & Fn keys

Dear *,

I'm still jumping from #! stable/waldorf trying to assess which release provides to my eeepc 1005HA a more trouble free environment for the things I would like to have properly running (Xen and Fn keys are part of it).

I want to have the following Fn keys operational: network connectivity (F2), luminosity (F5-7), deal with external screen/projector (F8) and sound (F10-12).

While running the #! 32bits stable release I installed the package eeepc-acpi-scripts.
And if I recall correctly most (if not all) the Fn keys were working correctly.

Under #! waldorf 32bits, only F2, F5, F6, F10-F12 are working out of the box. Installing eeepc-acpi-scripts does not help in nothing, i.e. F7 and F8 not working. But if not wrong this package was written to support Debian 6 release.

I know there are Asus eeepc users in the #! forum. Can you guys provide your feedback which Fn keys you have working (and #! release) and what was done to accomplish that?

Hi,
I use Asus EeePC 1015BX, running Waldorf 64bits. Out of the box works F2,F5,F6,F10-F12 (I had some problems with volume controls key but it is solved now). For now I didnt try anything to bring other FnFX keys to life - I dont need them at this moment. But it should be nice to have all of them working...

Thanks for the input.
So you have exactly the same Fn keys working as me.

I never tweaked the function keys (and at this moment I do not know where to start) ... but a rather important Fn key in eee netbooks is F8, I need this one whenever I need to give presentations.

I guess there's a way to send the image to the projector in other ways.
Someone to point me where to start looking for?
