GUI Freezes on startup (Waldorf) (Unsure how to fix in recovery)

Greetings,

I recently moved over into a fresh install of Waldorf and am having troubles starting. The system starts up fine up until it's time for the GUI to start, then it just freezes with a black screen that sometimes produces weird glitchy graphic effects. I don't have this problem at all with Statler (typing this post on Statler right now). I'm wondering if anyone else had this problem, and if so how did you go about fixing it?

System: ASUS G5J1 Series (Laptop)
CPU: i5 - 430M
VGA: nVIDIA GeForce GTS 360M (1 GB)

Cheers.
