Error: can't evaluate _CRS: 12311

I hope you can help.

I've just moved my existing #! Statler from one partition to a new one on an SSD drive using Clonezilla.

When I boot into the moved partition, I'm getting the error message 'can't evaluate _CRS: 12311' and end up at the command prompt. I'm able to log in at the command line and then shutdown, so it looks like I have a working system with some graphics problem.

I've tried to find some clues on google, but and am still no wiser ...???

^ I have had similar issues restoring to another drive.  What video card are you using?

I use all nVidia cards and I had to re run nvidia-settings to get X restarted.

Not sure if it is the same issues but you may want to check it out.

I've got an intel graphics card .... how would I get X started again?

Is this a result of the files not copying correctly when moving partitions?

It sounds like an X problem to me... But using Clonezilla, there should not have been any issues with copying files since it is a single image.

I use fsarchiver to backup and restore from one partition to another.   Here is the link I always work from
