Problem customizing CruchBang

Hello I am recently, having a problem with the resolution of my screen which is giving me,

800 * 600

and 640 * 420

I would like Help to be able to use resolution

1024*  720

I Got Nvidia gt440 Graphic gard,  and i would like to know if there is way to customized crunchbang
with a good way and make it look really nice, please let me know ty
