Hello everyone! I am Ratul from Bangladesh
I have been using Linux, mainly Ubuntu for some time now. Tried out Crunchbang and other alternatives from time to time, but never got my mind set upon one. Besides, I didn't have my PC in my room before, so I couldn't just install whatever OS I wanted to! Now that I have my PC with me, and also got my little brother convinced of using Crunchbang, there is no one to stop me now~!
I am a computer science major and I love learning languages. Sadly I haven't got steady with any language other than my native Bangla and second language English
Steadiness seem to be a dream to me
I have lot other hobbies, which include but not limited to programming, reading manga, watching movies, browsing the net, curating my bookmarks on Diigo and Pearltrees.
I use a Intel Core i5 PC with 2GB DDR3 RAM and 500 SATA HDD, the GPU is ATI Radeon 5450 and has 1GB memory.
I hope to get acquainted with everyone as soon as possible
Crunchbang has one of the most unique userbases with numerous friendly people ready to lend a helping hand, unlike some other popular distros.

Sadly I don't have a SSD
Although I would have been running like a rocket if I had one, literally!
BTW, I love the quote in your signature! So true! Although Google Translate has replaced Babel Fish now, and Bing bought Babel Fish this year, from Yahoo.
Welcome minhazr!

My gosh! Same here! Many of the awesomest people I know are from Japan
In fact I was kind of "Japanophillic" a few years back, I had even started learning Japanese! But couldn't make enough time, neither got any language-buddy then. I wish to get started on Japanese just in a few years when I am good with my studies! (I am not that much of a good student :S)
Thank you all for this overwhelming response

Well, howdy, pilgrim! Welcome to the #! Corral.

You do realize merelyjim's quote is from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and is in reference to a symbiote that lives in the ear canal and translates from any language to the host's native tongue...

Nope! :S I haven't read this famous book yet! I have a number of to-reads in my queue, sadly, couldn't even start
Sorry merelyjim for misunderstanding :S

^ I'm sure no harm was done.
I haven't read any of the books in the trilogy either...or any of the additional books in the "increasingly inaccurately named Hitchhikers Trilogy" - I'm mostly familiar with the BBC TV series. I think the Babel Fish is mentioned in the second or third episode.
I see you're settling in nicely here, minhazr; enjoy your stay!

I guess I was thinking in a too much "geeky" way :S I have heard of this franchise many times in many forums and from my friends, it sure is one of those very few franchises that even had an impact to our frequently used phrases and reference to it's jargons
I watched the movie when it was released back in '05, so I don't remember much of it. Now I am thinking of watching the series
It is even older than me, but who knows, I liked the movie, so I might like the series too!
And are you by any chance and anime fan? I mean, you have Saburo from Durarara as your avatar and Section Six from Ghost in the Shell as your location :S
I see you're settling in nicely here, minhazr; enjoy your stay!
Well, I have to try until I succeed, right?

Sorry, didn't notice your reply before
You think my English is "excellent"? Oh my, I am flattered! Just wait until I am in my "that" phase :S Everything I say gets jumbled then, even my native Bangla!
Just joking
Actually when I am little down I seem to misunderstand people too much, and vice versa. When I see my comments or posts afterwards I really have hard time believing I was the one wrote all those.
Anyways, don't know whether I deserve it or not, but thanks for the complement

Anime fan? Most of the anime I'm familiar with is what's been shown on Adult Swim, but aside from shows on Discovery/History/NatGeo, that's pretty much the only TV I watch, so I suppose you could call me an anime fan.
"Section Six/Internal Affairs" came about because my previous avatar (Dethklok CFO Charles Foster Offdensen) has been mistaken for Dr. Willis, who was frequently seen with a minister from Section Six;as a moderator, "Internal Affairs" seems appropriate.
As for Saburo Togusa...well, I mentioned the "why" elsewhere in the forum. I'm more of an Anri fan, but then, who isn't?

I have been just reading manga. Mainly the popular ones though. There are just too many manga and a lot of bizarre types of manga :S Since I am pretty close to my little bro I can't just ready any type of manga... I hope you can catch the drift

Ha ha ha... One thing I am certain about is you usually look for anime, or anything with a deeper meaning.
I guess this will be little bit too much, since it is a introductions forum, but did you watch Great Teacher Onizuka? '< Try watching it if you ever get the chance, I promise you you will be ROFL, literally!
