#! noob

Hello fellow #!ers...I've been reading about #! and finally decided to enter the dark side and I must say it is quite illuminating on this side wink Long time solaris/opensolaris user but wanted a lightweight linux distro to use on my new dell precision workstation. So far I am very impressed with #! Good job to all #! and Debian devs.

A Big Welcome to a  Long time solaris/opensolaris user  smile
  I like to toy with OpenIndiana and OpenSolaris before that...
I hope you hop on the DistroHoppers thread for a bit of a write up and some pointers.

Re: #! noob

Welcome, imoose, to the enlightened dark side big_smile I still have an Ultra 10 that runs Solaris (I think it's Solaris 9, also known as Sun 5.9, or it's the other way around. I can't remember), but I don't use it much, except when I'm feeling nostalgic.

Enjoy your stay with CrunchBang.

Re: #! noob

Imoose, welcome to #! smile  As for being a noob, we all gotta start somewhere -- I was one once when I first started my Linux adventure back in 2005.  If there's ever any way we can help y'all out, please let us know.

Re: #! noob

Welcome! I'm also a former Solaris user (mid to late 90's era). Some things will be a bit different at first but before you know it it'll feel like home. smile
