FInaly no more spotify over wine, This is a small guide how to install spotify for linux.
Spotify for Linux
This is a preview build of Spotify for Linux. As a preview release this version is still unsupported, but we're running it ourselves and will try to make sure it keeps pace with its Mac and Windows siblings.
So how do you get it? We've packaged it for Debian Squeeze/Ubuntu.
Debian

ive tried it alot today, and i can say its much more stable and better then spotify with wine.
With wine the software gets drunk, now its seems too good to be true!

It seems to be working pretty well for me -- and I can link into the raft of music I linked to on the work Windoze box.
One caveat (and there's probably no away around it): Watching the download -- yeah, that's how exciting my life is -- it seemed to drag in a lot of lib files that it probably needs but at 30-something MB, that's seems a little heavy to me.

I'm working on a despotify x86 package for squeeze that will be compatible with statler
the downside is it's for premium only users.

Does anyone else have a problem with it crashing upon reaching the end of a track? (It does this to me perhaps 1 out of 5 times. Super annoying to say the least.)

Never happend to me. Ive only had one problem one time, it was when i tried to add a track to a playlist. It did not work to drag it to my prefered playlist. Restarted spotify and never happend again. Strange

@plantperson; it has never happened to me either. You could try asking on the Spotify forum, maybe someone there knows something.

I've been using spotify on linux for about a year. It's been available for testing directly from the spotify download website for that long. Nice guide though.

IF YOU HAVE PROBLEM WITH SPOTIFY AFTER THE NEWEST (spotify) LINUX UPDATE
spotify: error while loading shared libraries: libQtNetwork.so.4:
For me with 32bit of the newest waldrof i have to install the libssl0.9.8 as usual.
AND install libQtNetwork.so.4 is in the libqt4-network package.
So just install it from terminal, its in this lib package:
Sudo aptitude install libqt4-network
Hope this will help someone in the future
