Hi all,
I was wondering whether an obmenu list of active or open windows / apps would be possible so that I could do away with my panel altogether?
cheers

Middle click on your desktop will show all open windows.
Or you can make a keybinding in ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml
e.g.:
<keybind key="W-o">
<action name="ShowMenu">
<menu>client-list-combined-menu</menu>
</action>
</keybind> sed 's/stress/relaxation/g'

Thank You Tunafish!
I'm on a laptop here so I hadn't discovered the 'middle' button action. Instead I changed the entry from "Middle" to left.
Solved, and thank you again!

You're welcome!
Using a keybinding makes it possible to show the menu when you're not on the desktop.
BTW: Pressing both buttons at the same time usually acts as middle click.

Isn't W-tab already assigned to this in CrunchBang?
